Stories of Lynn brings the history of this great Hanseatic port to life through interactive displays, objects and stories inside King’s Lynn Town Hall. Visitors can discover the King John Cup, explore the old gaol cells and trace the people, trade and events that shaped the town.

The exhibition is housed within King’s Lynn’s historic town hall complex and makes the town’s maritime and civic past approachable through objects and interactive interpretation. One highlight is the fourteenth-century King John Cup, a rare decorated medieval drinking vessel. The associated guide and walking tours help carry the story into the streets outside. Use the visit as a starting point for exploring the quays, markets and buildings that reveal the port’s former reach across the North Sea.
